I know you’re not a Weekly Money Multiplier member, but I make it a point every few weeks to share some insights that are usually reserved for my paying clients. I sent this out earlier this morning with information about the RagingBull Twitter feed and some earning bets that I am eyeing for this week… Enjoy!
This is the market that just won’t stop. In trading I’ve learned that fundamentals be damned, you need to be on the right side of the price action to make money.
I am very light in my positions right now and I am looking to add more trades to the long side this week. You can see a few of the charts I am actively watching if you follow the RagingBull Twitter feed.
I think I am going to take some earnings bets this week. You know I usually stay out of earnings plays, but there are a few I think have good risk/reward potential coming up.
I am looking at puts for AZO and TIVO. Both report on 2/26. I am looking toSHORT TIVO stock at $11.55 and then sell puts against it. This is a reverse of the “covered call” trade I made last week on TTD, it is a “covered put”.
CVNA is a questionable company but it has been pretty beaten up. From a little research, I think the stock could trade up this week after their 2/27 earnings. Options are crazy expensive right now, so another covered call type play might be in order here. I’m looking to buy CVNA stock on a dip this week and then sell out of the money calls against it.
**Earnings plays are VERY risky.** You can lose your whole investment overnight so be aware of that. I always trade them with small positions, keeping that in mind. If you’ve never traded options before, this isn’t the time to get in (You can learn more about Options trading in my book, The Option Profit Accelerator). Instead, remember these names and my predictions, and track how the stock is impacted by earnings.
WYNN, GRUB and ZEN are all stocks I like to the upside from here with calls.
